Topic: Jamaican Chapter
There is a chapter of this organization in Kingston Jamaica. I used to attend the meetings but found it not as educational or supportive as I would have liked. At the time of my interest in the chapter the old members where complaining about the comradre problems themselves. I did need more guidance than the "elders" where able to give me. Now that I have moved to the country, i'm looking for alternatives or more information on this organization and if I wanted to start a little group here who exactly would i got about it. I am knew to Buddhism and am opening myself up to learning about it, so any advise from any member of this group would be much obliged.

I too am Jamaican and Have come across Buddhism I am now in NYC and Have found the SGI center I dont go often but i find that the people and the willingness have been so comforting. I am still very new to this but look forward to learning more. It would be my pleasure to learn with you...

Greetings!
Recently, I have recommitted myself to practising the learning i've experienced in my Buddhist readings and I am testifying to the awesomeness of right minded thinking. Taking personal responsiblity and being disciplined. My life has opened up in ways, i only used to dream about, now they are my reality. As i sit here sharing I am thinking of ways to further expand my learning in Buddhism. If anyway has any references online or in hard copy that I can refer to please feel free to drop me a not.

I hope the new yearsd finds everyone in good health and firm mind. Ive been using this site for sometime now and it never occured to me to search forotherGakkai members until today, and I am so glad i've found you.


Ive read all of your past messages and i do hope that Njeri has found the information she's been looking for.Some chapters are more united than others but we must not dwell on the negative aspects of life. There is great faith in Jamacia i have seen actual proof in the lives of my friends and in the power of chanting.Look what you guys did with that storm! Even the news casters didnt believe it missed you. Someone had to be praying on that island, and iam hoping that it was you. I know it is very hard to pratice on ones own it takes great stregnth and determination to face ones self every day but i know you can do it. Do not let anything discourage you!
